Event Coordinator Guide

Overview

This guide covers the four event categories GGU runs for Wizard101, how each one is set up, and how to adapt on the fly depending on turnout. Read through the whole thing before coordinating your first event.

The Four Event Categories:

• › Guild Benefit Events — anything that benefits the guild (Guild Museum, Guild Meeting)
• › Player Benefit Events — anything that benefits players (Boss Farming, Questing, Cantrip Chest Farming, Beastmoon, Decathlon, Portal of Peril, Challenge Mode, Gear Farming, etc.)
• › PvP Events — anything having to do with PvP (Tournaments, Practice PvP, etc.)
• › Raid Events — anything having to do with raids

Guild Museum Setup

Guild Museum events run on what the museum currently needs — not a fixed routine. Before grouping anyone up, check the museum itself.

• › Go into the Guild Museum and check which exhibits need Prima Materia
• › Identify what's required to get that Prima Materia for the needed exhibits
• › Divide attendees into groups based on turnout (e.g. 7 players → 4+3, 8 players → 4+4, etc.)
• › What groups actually do — Bosses, Minions, or Cantrip Farming — depends on headcount and what the museum needs

Guild Meeting Setup

Guild Meetings are whole-guild gatherings — no grouping required. The purpose is to review where the guild currently stands and what needs to be worked on going forward.

Cantrip Chest Farming (Spellements) Setup

This is one of our most common Player Benefit events — everyone needs spellements, so it runs often.

• › Divide attendees into groups of 3
• › If attendance does not divide evenly into 3s, pivot — randomly pick a player, find out what they personally need, and have the group go help them with that instead

Beastmoon, Decathlon, Portal of Peril & Challenge Mode Setup

These events follow the same layout as Guild Museum Events — divide attendees into groups based on turnout (4+3, 4+4, etc.) and assign each group accordingly.

Setup

PvP — Tournaments, Practice PvP, etc. — is not currently a primary focus for GGU.

• › Coordinators have flexibility here — design whatever format, group sizes, and structure work best for the event. No fixed template exists yet.

Current Status

Raids haven't launched for GGU yet, so this setup is still in early planning. What we know so far:

• › Minimum of 12 players
• › Minimum character level of 160
• › Advanced combat rules apply — this is part of why spellements matter

What is a Guild?

If you've never been in a guild before, here's the short version: a guild is a permanent club of up to 60 players (by account) that you join to adventure together, access exclusive content, and build something as a group over time. Wizard101 added guilds in the Summer 2022 update, and they've grown significantly since then with the Guild Museum, Raids, and more.

Unlike a regular group you form to do a dungeon, a guild sticks around. It has its own private Guild House you can visit anytime, a shared chat channel visible from anywhere in the Spiral, a message board, a roster, and activities that are only available to guild members. Think of it as the difference between hanging out with someone once and actually being part of a team.

How guilds compare to other social groups

The Guild House

Every guild gets a private Guild House — a shared space that belongs to the whole guild. You can visit it anytime via the Guild Tab in your Social menu. It's not just a hangout spot; it's the base of operations for everything guild-related.

The Guild House starts small and expands over time as the guild completes quests and unlocks new islands. Each island serves a different purpose:

• › Main Island — The central hub where members meet, socialize, and access the rest of the Guild House. Members with the Decorator role can furnish and customize this space.
• › Museum Island — Home to the Guild Museum and its Druidic Galleries (more on this below).
• › Battle Island — Where Raid portals are opened and Battle Keys are used to run key bosses as a group.
• › PvP Island — Contains duel circles and multiple battle sigils for organized PvP practice and tournaments.

The Guild House also has a Guild Tab accessible from the Social Button in the top right corner of your screen. This tab gives every member access to:

• › Guild Summary — Guild name, creator, members online, total members, and the latest message board post
• › Guild Roster — Every member's school, level, last online date, current location, and guild role
• › Guild Messages — A message board visible to all members, plus a scheduling tool for organizing events

The Guild Museum

The Guild Museum is one of the most unique and ongoing activities a guild can participate in. It was added with the Wallaru expansion in November 2023, and it lives on Museum Island within the Guild House.

What it is

The Guild Museum is a collection of Druidic Galleries — in-game museums dedicated to individual worlds of the Spiral. Each Gallery contains Exhibits based on locations and iconic objects from that world, recreated from a special material called Prima Materia.

Prima Materia is described in the game's lore as the "most intrinsic essence" of matter itself — essentially the magical blueprint of everything in the Spiral. By collecting it and filling the Gallery exhibits, your guild is literally preserving the history of each world for all to experience.

Currently active Galleries include Avalon and Khrysalis, with more worlds planned as KingsIsle continues to expand the system.

How it works

• 1. The guild unlocks the Museum Island by completing the "Guild Museum" quest picked up from Ian Celtus inside the Guild House.
• 2. A guild member crafts a Quintescent Core, which powers up the Prima Magnes — a special machine that lets wizards absorb Prima Materia during combat.
• 3. Members head into the corresponding world with an active Prima Magnes and collect Prima Materia by fighting enemies there. The Prima Magnes will level-scale you to the world automatically.
• 4. The collected Prima Materia is brought back and used to unlock individual Exhibits inside the Gallery.
• 5. As more Exhibits unlock, the Gallery grows and guild-wide benefits increase. The museum upgrades through tiers (Bronze, Silver, etc.), with each tier requiring more Prima Materia and coordination to achieve.

What the museum gives you

• › A stunning visual space in the Guild House that reflects the worlds you've contributed to
• › Ongoing progression that keeps the guild active and working toward a shared goal

Raids

Raids are Wizard101's most demanding multiplayer content. They were introduced alongside the guild system and represent the pinnacle of what a coordinated guild can accomplish together.

What makes raids different

A standard dungeon run might need 2–4 wizards. Raids need all 12 players present and actively contributing. That's not just more bodies — it means real coordination, assigned roles, and players who understand the mechanics.

Raids play by PvP rules: only spells that work in PvP are allowed, no enchanted or pre-enchanted cards. This completely changes how you build your deck and approach combat compared to regular questing.

Raids also involve mechanics beyond just fighting. The Final Bastion raid involves three distinct player roles: Vanguard players who push through the main combat phases, Combat Team Outside (CTO) players who handle exterior encounters, and Search Team Outside (STO) players responsible for puzzle mechanics like the Mana Drain deactivation. Everyone has a job.

How to start a raid

• 1. Your guild unlocks the Battle Island in the Guild House (requires island progression via Cantrips and reagents).
• 2. A Raid Key is crafted or obtained for the specific raid you want to run.
• 3. All 12 participating guild members gather at the Battle Island and use the Magic Touch Cantrip on the battle ring to open the portal.
• 4. The raid begins — everyone enters and plays their assigned role.

What you get from raids

• › Some of the best gear and drops available in the game
• › Exclusive badges for completing raid content
• › The satisfaction of clearing the hardest content the game has to offer with your guild

In-Game Guild Roles

Within Wizard101 itself, guild members can be assigned one or more of three in-game roles. These are separate from GGU's own ranks — they're built into the game and control what actions a member can perform inside the Guild House.

• › Decorator — Can access the Guild House inventory and place, move, or pick up items. Decorators shape what the Guild House looks and feels like.
• › Recruiter — Can invite new players to the guild and accept or decline applications submitted through the Guild Kiosk.
• › Messenger — Can post to the guild message board and use the scheduling tool to organize and announce events for other members to see.

Requirements & Key Facts

A few important things to know about how guilds work in Wizard101:

• › Guilds are free. No membership or Crowns required — joining a guild costs nothing.
• › Minimum level to join: 30. Your account needs at least one level 30+ wizard to be eligible to join a guild.
• › Cap is 60 accounts, not characters. All six characters on one account count as a single membership slot.
• › Each wizard can only be in one guild at a time — but different wizards on the same account can be in different guilds.
• › Leaving a guild has a cooldown. If you leave a guild, there is a 2-week waiting period before you can join another one, so choose carefully.
• › Guilds have a dedicated chat channel visible from anywhere in the Spiral, so you're never out of contact with your guildmates.

Overview

Welcome to the GGU Wizard101 Guild Hub! This guide walks you through every step of the onboarding process — from finding us in-game all the way to becoming a full, active guild member on Discord. Read through the whole thing so you know what to expect.

The Full Journey:

• 1.Find a guild in-game via the Guild Kiosk
• 2.Get invited to the Discord server by a member of Wizard101 Leadership
• 3.Complete Discord onboarding and get your guild role
• 4.Register your Wizard101 character with the bot
• 5.Select your guild from the dropdown and fill in your character info
• 6.Gain access to guild channels
• 7.Complete Provisional member requirements to become a Full Member
• 8.Stay active as a Full Member to keep your standing

Step 1 — Finding a Guild In-Game

Using the Guild Kiosk

The Guild Kiosk is located in the Olde Town of Wizard City. It allows you to browse all publicly listed guilds and apply to join one directly from in-game.

• ›Open the Kiosk and browse available guilds
• ›Look for GGU guilds — they will be listed publicly if they are recruiting
• ›Submit a join request through the Kiosk
• ›A member of Wizard101 Leadership will review and accept your request

Step 2 — Joining the Discord Server

Leadership Invitation

After your in-game application is accepted, a member of the Wizard101 Leadership Team will provide you with a Discord invite link. This is required to access guild channels, check-in systems, and bot features.

• ›Log in to Discord or create an account if you don't have one
• ›You will be taken directly into the Discord Onboarding process

Step 3 — Discord Onboarding

Answering the Guild Question

When you first join the server, Discord will walk you through a short onboarding questionnaire. One of the questions will ask:

"Were you invited from a Wizard101 Guild?"

• ›Select YES if a member of Wizard101 Leadership invited you after your in-game Kiosk application
• ›Selecting Yes will automatically assign you the Wizard101 Guild role
• ›This role is what triggers the bot to send you your character registration DM

Step 4 — Getting Your Wizard101 Guild Role

What the Role Does

The Wizard101 Guild role is assigned automatically when you answer Yes to the onboarding question, or manually by Leadership if needed. This role:

• ›Marks you as part of the Wizard101 Guild Hub on this server
• ›Triggers the bot to send you a character registration DM automatically
• ›Grants access to general W101 channels while you complete registration

If you do not receive a DM within a minute of getting the role:

• ›Check that your Discord DMs are open (Privacy Settings → Allow DMs from server members)
• ›You can also register manually using /w101-register in any bot-enabled channel
• ›Contact a member of the Wizard101 Leadership Team if you continue to have issues

Step 5 — Character Registration Bot DM

What to Expect

Shortly after receiving the Wizard101 Guild role, the bot will send you a direct message with a registration button. This is how you register your Wizard101 character and receive your unique Member UID.

The DM will contain:

• ›A welcome message explaining the Hub
• ›A Register My Character button — click this to begin

What You Will Need

• ›Your Wizard's in-game name
• ›Your current wizard level (1–180)
• ›Your wizard school (Fire, Ice, Storm, Myth, Life, Death, or Balance)

Step 6 — Guild Selection & Character Info

The Registration Flow

After clicking the Register button, the process is split into two quick steps:

Step A — Select Your Guild (Dropdown)

• ›A dropdown menu will appear listing all active guilds on this server
• ›Select the guild a member of Wizard101 Leadership invited you to join
• ›If you are not yet affiliated with a guild, select "None / Not in a guild yet"
• ›You cannot type a guild name — it must be selected from the list to avoid errors

Step B — Fill in Your Character Info (Form)

• ›Wizard Name — your exact in-game wizard name
• ›Wizard Level — a number from 1 to 180
• ›Wizard School — Fire, Ice, Storm, Myth, Life, Death, or Balance

Step 7 — Guild Roles & Channel Access

What Happens After Registration

Once you complete registration and select your guild, the bot will automatically assign your Discord roles:

• ›Provisional Member role — assigned immediately on registration
• ›Guild-specific role — your guild's dedicated Discord role will be assigned automatically
• ›Both roles unlock the appropriate guild channels so you can start participating

Channels You Will Now Have Access To:

• ›Your guild's general and activity channels
• ›Check-in channels
• ›Guild announcements and event channels
• ›Museum and progression tracking channels

Step 8 — Provisional Member Requirements

What is a Provisional Member?

All new members start as Provisional*. This is a trial period designed to confirm you are an active and engaged member of the guild. It is not a punishment — it is just how we verify that new members are the right fit before granting full standing. *(Players invited via the Friends list will automatically be granted Full Member.)

How to Check In

• 1.Go to your guild's check-in channel
• 2.Either click on the daily check-in post OR run /w101-checkin in any bot channel
• 3.Optionally include a message about what you did in-game that day
• 4.The bot will confirm your check-in and show your progress toward the required total

Tracking Your Progress:

• ›Use /w101-checkin-stats to see your check-in history and how many you have completed
• ›Use /w101-profile to view your current rank and guild membership status

Step 9 — Becoming a Full Member

Promotion to Full Member

After you complete your provisional requirements, a member of Wizard101 Leadership will promote you to Full Member. This happens through the bot and updates both your Discord roles and your in-game guild record simultaneously.

What Changes at Full Member:

• ›Your Discord role updates from Provisional to Member
• ›You receive access to any Full Member-exclusive channels
• ›Your rank in the bot's guild record is updated to Member
• ›You are now considered a permanent, standing guild member

Step 10 — Full Member Check-in Requirements & Staying Active

Full Member Activity Requirements

Being a Full Member comes with ongoing activity expectations. You are expected to meet all of the following on a regular basis:

Inactivity Process

• 1.If you miss your check-in window, the bot will flag you as inactive
• 2.An alert is sent to guild Leadership and you may receive a warning DM
• 3.Wizard101 Leadership will review the case — you may be given a grace period to respond
• 4.If there is no response and no exemption on file, you may be removed from the guild

Going on a Break? Use an Exemption

Life happens — if you know you will be inactive, let your guild know in advance. Wizard101 Leadership can apply an exemption to your account so you won't be flagged while you are away.

• ›Wizard101 Leadership uses /w101-activity-exemption to mark your account as exempt
• ›Exemptions are temporary — activity requirements resume when the exemption period ends

Wizard101 Quick Launcher Setup Guide

What is a Quick Launcher?

A quick launcher allows you to bypass the Wizard101 patcher/launcher and launch the game directly using command-line parameters. This is particularly useful for multi-boxing (running multiple game instances with different accounts) or simply launching the game faster.

Important: Multi-boxing is ALLOWED by KingsIsle and does not violate the Terms of Service, as long as you're not using automation or third-party software that gives unfair advantages.

Prerequisites

Before setting up a quick launcher, you need:

• 1. Wizard101 installed on your computer
• 2. Your account credentials (username and password)
• 3. Basic knowledge of creating shortcuts or using command prompt
• 4. Multiple accounts if you plan to multi-box

Method 1 — Direct Launch Using Command Line

The Quick Launch Command

The basic command to skip the launcher is:

Command Breakdown:

• › -L — quick launch flag (lowercase L)

Method 2 — Creating Desktop Shortcuts

• 1. Navigate to your Wizard101 Bin folder

• › You can only open one launcher at a time (the patcher will detect multiple instances)
• › However, once you hit "Play" in one launcher, you can open another launcher

Multi-Boxing Setup Guide

What is Multi-Boxing?

Multi-boxing means running multiple instances of Wizard101 simultaneously with different accounts. This is commonly used for:

• › Pet training on multiple accounts

• › Daily assignment completion
• › Having a full team without needing other players

Recommended Team Composition:

• 4. Tank — Death or Ice (survivability, secondary damage)

Alternative Compositions:

Multi-Boxing Process

Using Standard Launcher:

• 1. Open first launcher, enter credentials, click Play
• 2. Once first game starts loading, open second launcher
• 3. Enter second account credentials, click Play
• 4. Repeat for each additional account
• 5. Wait for all instances to load

Using Quick Launch Shortcuts:

• 1. Double-click first account shortcut
• 2. Immediately double-click second account shortcut
• 3. Continue for all accounts
• 4. Log in to each instance when login screen appears
• 5. Much faster than standard launcher method

Window Management Tips

For Dual-Boxing (2 accounts):

• › Use Windows Key + Arrow Keys to snap windows side-by-side
• › Left window = Main account
• › Right window = Support account

For Quad-Boxing (4 accounts):

• › Arrange windows in a 2×2 grid
• › Use quarter-screen positioning
• › Recommended resolution: 1920×1080 or higher
• › Consider using multiple monitors

The timeout command adds a delay between launches to prevent overwhelming your system.

Recommended Settings for Each Instance:

What Are Skeleton Keys?

Skeleton Keys are special items in Wizard101 that unlock hidden boss rooms throughout the Spiral. First introduced in 2015 alongside Castle Darkmoor, these keys provide access to unique bosses with exclusive drops including rare spells, powerful gear, pack mounts, energy gear, and more.

This guide will teach you how to calculate the exact damage of any spell in Wizard101.

Note: Flat Damage comes from certain jewels and some spell effects. Most players won't have flat damage bonuses, so if you don't have any flat damage jewels equipped, you can skip that part of the formula.

Start with your spell's base damage, then add any enchantment bonuses.

Common Enchantments

• Strong: +100 damage
• Giant: +125 damage
• Monstrous: +225 damage
• Gargantuan: +250 damage
• Colossal: +275 damage
• Epic: +300 damage

Formula

Enchanted Base = Spell Base Damage + Enchantment Bonus

Examples

• Phoenix (690) + Epic (+300) = 990 base
• Frost Giant (475) + Colossal (+275) = 750 base
• Meteor Strike (95) + Gargantuan (+250) = 345 base

Most players can skip this step. Flat damage comes from certain jewels that provide a fixed amount of damage added to your attacks.

Where Flat Damage Comes From

• Flat Damage Jewels — Socketed into gear (usually adds 10–50+ flat damage)
• Certain Spell Effects — Some spells give flat damage blades

Damage with Flat = Base Damage + Flat Damage

Example

• Base damage: 990
• Flat damage from jewels: 50
• Total: 1,040

Your damage percentage comes from gear, pets, and other permanent sources. This is shown in your character stats.

Formula

Damage After Gear = (Base + Flat Damage) × (1 + Damage % ÷ 100)

Damage After Gear = (Base + Flat Damage) × (1 + Damage Decimal)

Examples

• (500 + 0) × (1 + 150%) = 500 × 2.50 = 1,250
• (800 + 50) × (1 + 200%) = 850 × 3.00 = 2,550
• (345 + 0) × (1 + 180%) = 345 × 2.80 = 966

Converting Percentages

• 100% = 1.00
• 150% = 1.50
• 246% = 2.46
• Just move the decimal two places left!

Blades are damage buffs on yourself. Each blade multiplies your current damage.

Common Blade Values

• Regular School Blade: 35% (25% for Balance)
• Elemental/Spirit Blade: 30%
• Item Card Blades: Varies (often 40%+)
• Sharpened Blades: +10% to the base value
• Pet Blades: Usually 5–10%

Formula — One Blade

Damage with Blade = Current Damage × (1 + Blade % ÷ 100)

Examples

One blade (35%):

• 2,000 × 1.35 = 2,700

Two blades (35% + 30%):

• 2,000 × 1.35 × 1.30 = 3,510

Three blades (35% + 30% + 40%):

• 2,000 × 1.35 × 1.30 × 1.40 = 4,914

Blades multiply — they don't add! 35% + 30% does NOT equal 65% total.
Wrong: 2,000 × 1.65 = 3,300
Right: 2,000 × 1.35 × 1.30 = 3,510

Traps work exactly like blades but are placed on enemies instead of yourself.

Common Trap Values

• Regular School Trap: 30% (25% for Balance)
• Elemental/Spirit Trap: 25%
• Feint: 70% (also gives 30% shield to caster)
• Potent Trap: +10% to base value
• Curse: 20% universal trap

Damage with Traps = Current Damage × (1 + Trap1%) × (1 + Trap2%) × ...

Examples

One trap (30%):

• 2,700 × 1.30 = 3,510

Trap + Feint (30% + 70%):

• 2,700 × 1.30 × 1.70 = 5,967

Multiple traps (30% + 25% + 20%):

• 2,700 × 1.30 × 1.25 × 1.20 = 5,265

Auras are personal buffs that increase your outgoing damage or provide other benefits. They stack with everything else.

Common Auras

• Amplify: +15% to outgoing damage
• Berserk: +30% to outgoing damage, +20% to incoming damage
• Vengeance: +20% to outgoing damage
• Cycle of Life/Death/Nature: School-specific, +25% to school damage
• Empowerment: +10% to outgoing damage
• Fury: +35% to outgoing damage

Formula

Damage with Aura = Current Damage × (1 + Aura %)

Examples

One aura (Amplify +15%):

• 5,000 × 1.15 = 5,750

Multiple auras (+15% + 25%):

• 5,000 × 1.15 × 1.25 = 7,188

Global spells affect all damage of certain types in the entire battle circle. They're less common but work the same way.

Common Globals

• Time of Legend: +20% to all damage
• Wyldfire: +25% to Fire damage
• Balefrost: +25% to Ice damage
• Vengeful Seraph: +25% to Balance damage

Damage with Global = Current Damage × (1 + Global %)

Example

• 5,000 × (1 + 25% Wyldfire) = 5,000 × 1.25 = 6,250

If you land a critical (and it's not blocked), your damage is multiplied. The critical multiplier depends on the enemy's critical block rating.

Critical Multiplier

• Against enemies with no block: 2.0x (doubles your damage)
• Against enemies with block: Usually between 1.5x–2.0x (varies based on their block rating)
• You can see your exact critical multiplier by hovering over your critical stat in-game

Formula

Critical Damage = Current Damage × Critical Multiplier

Examples

No block (2.0x):

• 3,500 × 2.0 = 7,000

With some block (1.75x):

• 3,500 × 1.75 = 6,125

With high block (1.5x):

• 3,500 × 1.5 = 5,250

The final step is subtracting enemy resistance and adding your pierce.

Formula

Final Damage = Current Damage × (1 - (Resist % - Pierce %) ÷ 100)

Examples

30% resist, 0% pierce:

• 7,000 × (1 − 0.30) = 7,000 × 0.70 = 4,900

40% resist, 15% pierce:

• Effective resist: 40% − 15% = 25%
• 7,000 × (1 − 0.25) = 7,000 × 0.75 = 5,250

20% resist, 30% pierce (overcap — adds damage):

• Effective resist: 20% − 30% = −10% (you add 10% damage)
• 7,000 × (1 − (−0.10)) = 7,000 × 1.10 = 7,700

Step-by-Step Calculation

Maximizing Damage

1. Stack multiplicatively — More blades/traps = exponential growth
2. Enchant wisely — Better on lower base damage spells
3. Pierce matters — Small pierce against high resist = huge gains
4. Critical is king — Doubles everything you've built up

Common Mistakes

• Adding percentages together (100% + 50% = 150%)
• Multiplying them separately (1.00 × 1.50 = 2.00 = 100% increase)
• Thinking resist subtracts damage (30% resist ≠ −30 damage)
• Understanding it multiplies (30% resist = ×0.70)

No specific schools needed — any composition works. Communication is the most important factor.

Requirements: Must be able to access the world you're farming, have an active Membership, have completed Cantrips 101 and 102, and have a Prima Magnetism Elixir active. Recommended to be level-appropriate for the world.

Cantrip chests spawn at fixed locations in each world (Maps — COMING SOON). They appear as glowing chests that require 3 players.

Guild Event Guide: Boss & Minion Farming Runs

Boss and minion farming is one of the PRIMARY methods of collecting Prima Materia for Guild Museum exhibits. Unlike cantrip chests, this involves strategic combat where coordination and proper buff stacking are crucial for efficiency.

Recommended: All players Level 50+ for access to key spells. Ideal: Level 100+ for best gear and spell options.

Hitter joins first — gets targeted too much, may die before hitting

Using Feints on minions — waste of time and cards

Not coordinating blades — overlap = wasted turns

Over stacking — diminishing returns after 8–10 buffs, just hit

Big decks — takes forever to draw the right cards

No communication — leads to turn confusion and inefficiency

Wrong deck for enemy type — boss deck for minions or vice versa

Not checking boss cheats — can wipe your team unexpectedly

Splitting damage on minions — focus fire or use AoE only
